The REinEU2016 Conference represents a unique opportunity to present Slovak view of the Horizon 2020 challenges in the context of one of the new EU Member States and present solutions tailored to the needs of these countries.

"If we are to create jobs requiring high skills, ensure technical progress or benefit from the digital revolution, the European Union will remain globally competitive only with effective reindustrialisation," emphasized Jerzy Buzek, Member of the European Parliament, in his speech at the International Conference on Re-Industrialisation of the European Union (REinEU2016) taking place at Incheba Expo Bratislava. The Research Welding Institute – Industrial Institute of SR was among the 25 exhibitors and innovators and researchers from 27 countries who presented at this Conference.

The REinEU 2016 conference is a prestigious event in the field of nanotechnologies, biotechnology, advanced materials and production technologies. Its aim is to highlight and discuss the role of science, research and innovation not only in the sustainable development of the European economy, but mainly in the process of reindustrialisation of Europe. The three-day event focused on how the research and innovation impact support for and growth of production in more "traditional" manufacturing sectors.
